Time waits for no man
“The best laid schemes of mice and men go often awry,” once said Robert Burns, and we concur. For, despite our best efforts, we have had to delay our adventurers’ departure until next week.
7 Wonders in 7 Days has been a real feat of organization for everyone concerned; however, it was only this week that we announced that Alissa (@AlissaJuvan) and Daryl (@HeathenStorm) would be making extra travel arrangements and it was only yesterday that we announced our new companion Mike Chirnside (@emptyseas) would be taking on Karen’s (@Karen_McNab) fundraising quest. Regrettably, time has therefore pushed our schedule on another week.
Chi-Chi has already contacted our fellow travel companions and most have them have promptly replied in favour of setting off on our journey on the 17/10/10. By then everything should be green-lit.
In the meantime, we ask that our charitable travelers pass onto Chi-Chi their emergency contact information, if they haven’t already done so. Also, that if they have any outstanding queries or problems that they let us know as soon as possible.
We are also slightly concerned by the recent inactivity of one of our companions: Mike Ashfield (@MikeAshfield). If you have spoken with him recently, can you please get in touch.
Just like yesterday, we wish to thank everyone who has donated so far.
Yesterday afternoon we received a generous donation from Alissa Juvan and her family. Alissa had made a small but admirable change to her morning routine by making coffees at home instead of buying them from her local shop. As a result of that little change she raised £1.60 a day for our 7 charities! Evidence, that even a small change can make a massive difference. Thank you!
If you’re feeling inspired and wish to donate, please do so via our Virgin Money Giving page where your donation will be split 7 ways among our sponsored charities.
