The 7 Wonders In 7 Days Travel Itinerary Gets Much Better
Kathryn Gregory, World Travel Expert at Thomas Cook Manchester sent me a much improved travel itinerary yesterday afternoon.
It is quite different from the itinerary I shared on Friday, more on this below. It’s worth glancing through the version I posted on Friday, if only because it the clarifies cities and destinations covered.
Here’s the new itinerary:
08SEP MAN MUNICH 0655 1000 – Pre-trip flight to starting point, Rome, Italy
08SEP MUNICH ROME 1045 1215 – Pre-trip flight to starting point, Rome, Italy
Day 0 – 09SEP ROME AMMAN 1335 1800
Day 1 – 10SEP AMMAN DELHI 2015 0415 +1
Day 3 – 12SEP DELHI HONG KONG 2315 0700+1
Day 4 – 13SEP HONG KONG BEIJING 0800 1125
Day 4 – 13SEP BEIJING NEW YORK 1545 1730
Day 4 – 13SEP NEW YORK LIMA 2330 0630
Day 5 – 14SEP LIMA CUZCO 0805 0925
Day 5 – 14SEP CUZCO LIMA 1805 2040
Day 5 – 14SEP LIMA RIO 2140 0445 +1
Day 6 – 15SEP RIO MIAMI 2235 0620+1
Day 7 – 16SEP MIAMI CANCUN 0945 1025
18SEP CANCUN NEW YORK 1150 1700 – Journey back to the UK
18SEP NEW YORK MAN 1930 0740 +1 – Journey back to the UK
I arrive home in Manchester at approximately 8am on Saturday 19th September, mission accomplished, God willing.
Notice that I have a few more hours in China, arriving in Hong Kong at 7 am on 13th September, Day 4 of the trip as before. I now have till 15:45 that day to see the Great Wall before I leave for New York, my launch pad for the South American leg of the trip. Previously I had less than 4 hours.

It’s also interesting to note that it looks as though I should get to Cancun, Mexico at 9:45am on September 16th, getting to the last of the 7 Wonders, Chichen Itza, on the last day of the trip with enough time to finish the challenge comfortably in daylight. Previously we were cutting it fine.
Thanks so much for this much nicer itinerary, Kathryn!
I’ll post any updates regarding it after I’ve had a chance to go over it with Kathryn at Thomas Cook’s offices later in the week.
Over to you. Please have a look over the itinerary and let me know if I’ve missed anything. Shout out in the comments!
Many thanks.
