A Quick Sport Relief Update and the Happiness Project

Last week, Young Minds, one of the charities I’m supporting through 7 Wonders in 7 Days sent me a link to a video of their Happiness Project.

A 1 minute 50 second quirky take at being happy, I think the two comediennes in it, Isy Suttie and Josie Long, pull it off quite well considering they are arguing from a teen’s perspective.

What do you think? I think it’s charming…

And as far as updates go, I know I’ve been sporadic with tweets and posts of late but it’s actually been a whirlwind of a week on the 7 Wonders in 7 Days project.

I’ve been playing email tennis with the brilliant fundraising and press team at Comic Relief (the team behind the awe inspiring rollercoaster that is Sport Relief) and you’ll be seeing the fruit of my labours very soon – a spanking new updated press release for 7 Wonders in 7 Days sharing plans for the Get Fit Run at the Manchester Regional Arena at Sportcity next week.

Here’s a sneak peak from the press release.  I’m so grateful for Comic Relief’s support for this:

Alan Pomroy, Sport Relief Events Manager, said:
“This year, sport Relief is all about rising to the challenge to make a big difference, and Chi-chi’s incredible fundraising idea really shows  off that challenge spirit.

We would encourage everyone in Manchester and Leeds to join Chi-chi at her training sessions, and make sure you are ready to rise to your own challenge at the Sainsbury’s Sport Relief Mile on Sunday March 21.”

I’ll be sharing the press release next week.  This is meant to be a quick update!

Does anyone have any tips for multi-tasking?

It’s a miracle I’m staying on top of things; I’m managing a company website re-launch over at work this week and had the usual week of meetings, and miscellaneous To Do lists.

Still, it’s been good to see all the support coming from friends and family for a rejuvenated 7 Wonders in 7 Days project.

I’ve had some donations come in from folk for next week’s run, for which I’m extremely grateful.   Every single penny (plus the substantial Gift Aid supplement) is automatically split between all 7 charities.  Thanks so much to everyone who has donated.

I’m hoping a few more people sign up to take part, from talking to friends I get the impression that a mile run is nothing for experienced runners and scary for those who don’t run regularly.

I’m well looking forward to it even if I fit in the latter category. Bring it on I say!

Still wavering, sign up here…!
