A Fresh Face

Greetings, my name is Kyle and I’ll be keeping yourself and all the fantastic people getting involved with Chi-Chi’s inspirational and ambitious Seven Wonders in Seven Days project up to date with events and happenings in the build-up to the big event.

I recently graduated from Salford University having studied History for three years much like a child would study each individual toy in a toy store, making a thorough – perhaps deliberate – mess in the process. I’m often asked how exactly do I plan to utilize the skills, knowledge and passion I have for the subject in the world of now, after all, people often surmise, history just belongs in the classroom doesn’t it? But that isn’t the case.

The Seven Wonders of the World in particular owe much of their mystique to the histories that surround them. There would be no Taj Mahal if not for a devoted Mughal emperor, no Chichen Itza without a progressive Mayan civilization and no Macchu Picchu had its secluded location not prevented it from ruin by Spanish conquerors. It is history, combined with magnificent, pulchritudinous architecture that makes these global landmarks so inspiring.

History aside, I am also extremely enthusiastic about the project’s method of fund-raising, specifically its use of social media channels. It’s going to be really interesting to see what effect this relatively new dynamic will have on the project, given that it has such a profound one on businesses.

If you have any questions or want to keep up to date, don’t forget to add us on twitter and facebook. You can even follow me to keep ahead of what’s happening when.
