I’ve been meaning to blog this for a while and I’m pleased I finally did it today.
I’ve just signed up to Dopplr, the online community for travellers and entered the most up to date travel details I have for the 7 Wonders in 7 Days trip.
Note that Thomas Cook Manchester are still tweaking the travel itinerary. More on this below.
Using Dopplr
Dopplr itself is quite easy to use and allows you to enter trip information with an unlimited number of stops as far as I can see.
It does not allow you to enter single trips, however and so my initial attempt to create a number of single journeys representing the itinerary failed.
Problems with the Travel Itinerary
Here is the full itinerary. The eagle-eyed amongst you will spot the problem on Day 4.
That’ll be the 4 hour stop in Beijing. Clearly, that does not allow enough time to check out of the airport and see the Great Wall. Thomas Cook Manchester are working on that.
There’s another slightly optimistic error on Day 4; the 7 minute journey from Beijing, China to Chicago, USA. I’m gobsmacked I didn’t spot it earlier.
Will also be pointing it out to Thomas Cook shortly, they missed it too.
Having said that, this is where I really need your help:
Please read the travel itinerary below and leave me a comment if you spot any glaring errors or over optimistic travel planning. Thank you.

isn’t the 8-minute journey from Beijing to Chicago b/c you’re crossing the int’l dateline?

You’re absolutely right. Thanks for your comment.
Josh aka @technicalfault on Twitter also spotted this yesterday. As noted in the update to the post above.
