After a whirlwind of site updates, the highly anticipated 7 Wonders in 7 Days Travel Companion Competitions finally launched at the Manchester Mashable Meetup celebrating Social Media Day 2010.

I’m really grateful for all the support the project received both from people in the room and on Twitter.

Thanks again to Nigel Collier and all at SkyLab for taking the bull by the horns and putting Manchester on the map on Social Media Day.  Quite literally…. with live links to Portugal and ABC News 1o, Sacramento, California, US.

Can’t wait to see the videos on the SMDayMcr website when they are ready.  Thanks also to fellow co-consipirateur on the night: Rick Guttridge of Smoking Gun PR who took part in the mini-social media surgery I organised and Chris Marsh from Melbourne Hosting who were kind enough to buy each person a drink who came.
