7 Wonders in 7 Days on the Becky Want show on BBC Radio Manchester on Tues 7 July at 2pm
I’m pretty excited about this.
I’ll be on the Becky Want show on BBC Radio Manchester next Tuesday 7th July at 2pm*. If you’re in the Greater Manchester area, please tune in!
*Note that this is a significant time change: I was previously told the interview would take place tomorrow but it’s been moved back a week.
Other good news:
All weekend folk have been telling me that I’m in the paper.
Early last week I spoke to Ailsa Cranna, journalist with the Manchester Evening News’ Salford Advertiser and her interview was published on Thursday.
You can read it here.
Thank you Ailsa.
Unfortunately, I only found about it late Saturday evening otherwise I would have blogged about it earlier.
There’s also some interesting developments as far as 7 Wonders in 7 Days competitions are concerned.
On Friday afternoon I was contacted by a representative of the Southport Flower Show with some items for the Charity Auction. As the auction had concluded the night before, I will be giving those items away on this site this week. Stay tuned!
I’m kicking off the week with a bang, there’s lots of video content for you not least the second half of the last song from Peter Gregson’s mesmerising performance at Thursday’s Tweetup. Here’s Part 1. Those of you following 7 Wonders in 7 Days on Twitter have probably seen all the status updates about this.
Watch Part 2 of of Peter Gregson’s mesmerising performance:
I’ll also be uploading one video a day of live music and interviews from the Hungry Pigeon Festival.
Here’s the first installment, a performance by yours truly:
I’ve also uploaded a much nicer version of the 7 Wonders in 7 Days introduction:
I’m also planning to blog more about why I’ve chosen each of the 7 charities I’m supporting on the trip. The 7 charities are:
- Alzheimer’s Research Trust
- Diabetes UK
- Open Doors
- Young Minds
- British Red Cross
- Feed The Minds
- The Jessie Ekweozor Memorial Foundation Comic Relief through supporting Sport Relief 2010
The last is a foundation my parents are starting in memory of my grandmother whose funeral inspired the 7 Wonders in 7 Days trip.
________
UPDATE: As explained in this blog post, I’m now fundraising for Comic Relief through supporting Sport Relief 2010. This change came about upon my realisation that I would be unable to fundraise for the 6 existing charities whilst starting a whole new charitable foundation!
________
There’s also the weekly travel itinerary update from Thomas Cook Manchester to look forward to. I need to get on with applying for visas and sorting out travel vaccinations so there’s a fair bit yet to do.
Over to you.
Your thoughts and queries welcome as always.
What do you think of me running competitions on the 7 Wonders in 7 Days website? I’d love to know. Would you like to give something away? Get in touch.
