7 Degrees of Separation: Want a 3-day holiday to @new 7Wonders? RT this to get us an email interview with @stephenfry @beargrylls @profbriancox #7w7d

We'd like to interview celebrity adventurers like Cheryl Cole

Want a free 3-day holiday to one of the new 7 wonders of world next month?

Read on…

The new 7 wonders are Taj Mahal in India, Great Wall of China, Christ the Redeemer in Brazil, Colosseum in Italy, Chichen Itza in Mexico, Machu Picchu in Peru and Petra in Jordan.

On 10th October, (10-10-10), I will be visiting all 7 destinations in 7 days in a daring, never-been-done-before round-the-world dash to raise £777,000 for 7 charities.

I am looking for 7 people to join me on the trip.

Each person wins a 3 day holiday to one of the 7 destinations.

We have a winner: holiday to the Great Wall of China already taken!

@HeathenStorm, our first travel companion competition winner bagged the holiday to The Great Wall of China on Sunday.

I’m now looking for travel companions for the remaining 6 destinations.   I would like at least one of them to be an adventure-loving celebrity.

To that end, we’re running a really cool Twitter Game all week on 7wondersin7days.com called 7 Degrees of Separation.

How the 7 Degrees of Separation Twitter Game works
We’re using the idea of ‘six degrees of separation’ linking any person on earth to a complete stranger to net an email interview with the 3 joint finalists of the celebrity adventurer poll we ran last week.

The 3 joint celebrity finalists are:

  • Stephen Fry (@StephenFry on Twitter, on Wikipedia) – actor, writer, journalist, comedian, television presenter, film director
  • Bear Grylls (@BearGrylls on Twitter, on Wikipedia) - youngest Briton to climb Everest, adventurer, writer and television presenter
  • Professor Brian Cox, (@ProfBrianCox on Twitter, on Wikipedia) – particle physicist, star of BBC television series, Wonders of the Solar System

Want to play the 7 Degrees of Separation Twitter game?

To take part in the 7 Degrees of Separation Twitter game and be in with a chance of winning a coveted place to join me on the 7 Wonders in 7 Days trip, all you have to do is:

Retweet* (RT) this blog post on Twitter.

That’s it.

*Retweeting is a process of ‘re-posting’ a message on Twitter. Find out more at the Twitter Help Centre.

How do you win the 7 Degrees of Separation game?

If you succeed in getting the attention of one of those 3 celebrities through your RT, you win a 3 day holiday to one of the remainder destinations!

In keeping with the charity focused rules of the travel companion competition, we will also ask you to share what you would give to one of the 7 charities as a dream donation and why.  Please review the competition rules.

Why are we doing the 7 Degrees of Separation game?

I really want those interviews!

We (myself and the rest of the social media support team on the project) discovered people enjoy reading what celebrities think about 7 Wonders in 7 Days after we interviewed comedienne and actress Isy Suttie (Dobby on Channel 4’s Peep Show) last month.

So, the plan is to get so many people retweeting this post that we get an interview with all three celebrities by the end of the week including one with the national treasure himself, Stephen Fry.

To make it as simple as possible, I’ve created a link that posts the entire tweet into Twitter for you.
