7 Degrees of Separation update
We’ve had a fantastic response following the announcement of our 7 Degrees of Separation game on Tuesday.
Our little game is based on the idea that by ‘six seven degrees of separation’ any person can be linked with anyone else on the planet. And we’re hoping that by using these links we’ll be able to involve one of the three winners of our celebrity traveler poll in our fundraising attempts.
Of course, we’re also planning to handsomely reward the most useful link in that chain with a ticket to one of the 7 Wonders of the World – joining Heathen Storm as one of the lucky few winners.
To participate, to become our most valuable link, and to win your seat on the plane to your favoured Wonder, all you need to do is retweet a #7w7d message (including the hashtag). You could retweet about this blog post, for example. That’s all it takes!
So far non-profit tweeter Kristin Lilly (@SocialCauseGuru), challenge enthusiast Christopher Brisley (@TakeChallenge) and regular tweeter David Eaton (@_peak) have created some of he best #7w7d responses; Kim at @4Virtu and Louise Bolotin (@LouiseBolotin) have also been getting involved. And we thank you all!
Carrie Prideaux (@sportycarrie), former Sport reporter on BBC Radio 1′s Chris Moyles show has also been busy retweeting on behalf of Chi-Chi’s inspirational project.
Amazingly, in reply to our 7 Degrees of Separation campaign, the BBC production team behind one of our choice celebrities (@BBC_Wonders), enthusiastic particle physicist Professor Brian Box (@ProfBrianCox) has promised to ask Brian for his involvement!
Brian may be busy filming his new series, however, so we can’t stop there! We’re still looking at involving Stephen Fry (@StephenFry) and Bear Grylls (@BearGrylls). So please keep tweeting!
Remember, the deadline for both our 7 Degrees of Separation game and our Dream Donation competition is this Friday.
